For the most dramatic and intimate setting within the ski area, the Telluride Ski Resort offers the Tempter House, one of the highest elevation houses in North America at the height of privacy and exclusivity. The Tempter House remains one of the most secluded and romantic destinations in the country. Gorrono Ranch is truly a gem of the San Juan's. Named after the family that built the ranch, Gorrono was once a Basque sheep herder's farm in the 1800's. Recently renovated, Gorrono has served as our mid-mountain ski lodge.
Allred's Restaurant, located at the top of the free scenic gondola, opened with much acclaim on December 8th of 2000. Allred's is perched 10,551 feet above sea level and boasts breathtaking views of the 13,000 foot peaks that tower above the twinkling lights and rooftops of the town of Telluride some 1,800 feet below.
